The number of dangers we could face in a post-disaster world is innumerable. Part of the problem is that we don’t really know what that world will look like. While there are certain things we can surmise, based upon past disasters, we may very well be wrong. Did anyone actually foresee a global pandemic play out the way that COVID-19 has?
While the disaster itself will obviously be dangerous, perhaps the biggest dangers any of us face aren’t from nature or whatever force might create the disaster, but from other people. Specifically, the most dangerous groups will be those who gather together in gangs in order to seek out supplies, even if they have to steal them and the government. While the government may not take care of us, they will always take care of themselves.
Considering the direction our nation has been going, a nationwide disaster could be just the situation some politicians and bureaucrats have been waiting for, so that they could increase the power of the police state over our lives. The first step in that process is knowing everything there is to know about everyone, keeping track of where they are and what they’re doing.
As we heard from Edward Snowden, the government, specifically the NSA, is already working hard to track down every bit of electronic data about all of us, creating dossiers that might be used in any future investigation. While there are those who say “if you’re not doing anything wrong, there’s nothing to worry about,” the government’s definition of “wrong” is subject to change.
Today there are those who are calling expressing a conservative viewpoint a “hate crime” and trying to prosecute those who dare to publicly express those opinions.
Our only safety is to do the best we can to ensure that the government can’t track us. That may actually be impossible, but even so, there’s no reason to give them information about us on a silver platter. The less we let them have, the less they can use against us.
Here are a few key ways that we are being tracked today and what we can do about it.
If someone in the government wanted to come up with a way to get all of us to give them all our personal information, all they would have had to do is create social media.
When you sign up for any social media platform, the first thing they do is have you create a profile. With many people, you can learn just about anything you want to about them, just from reading what they’ve posted there.
If that wasn’t bad enough, social media is all about letting others know what’s going on in your life. People post everything from family photos to vacation plans.
They openly let others know what’s going on in their lives, forgetting that there are many more eyes seeing that, than they expect.
It’s safe to say that the government has agreements with all the social media platforms, allowing them to tap in and learn anything they can. That’s not too surprising, considering employers can do that as part of the hiring process.
The best way to prevent the government from learning about you on social media is to not use it at all. They can even glean information about you from the things you follow and read. That’s not all that hard, as Facebook regularly data mines for that kind of information, so that they can use it for selling advertising space on their platform.

As I already mentioned, the NSA is recording every bit of electronic communications, of every type, in the world.
While they may not have any interest in you today, that could change at any time. All it would take is for someone in DHS to decide that preppers were dangerous and had to be controlled, and every record of your communications would be examined by some nameless bureaucrat, looking to find something you’ve done wrong.
We can’t do anything about the information which has already been gathered about us, but we can do something about what we do in the future. Basically, all we have to do is stop using electronic communications to keep in touch with others. Instead of using text messages, e-mail and phones, we could actually talk to others face to face and send snail mail.
Our Phones are Tracking Us
Our smartphones are smarter than we are, especially when it comes to tracking us.
Having a built-in GPS is handy; especially when you’re trying to find that restaurant you want to go to. But in order to give us that capability, the phone is constantly tracking our comings and goings. If you don’t believe me, just check your timeline on Google Maps or the Apple equivalent for an iPhone.
Supposedly we can turn off that feature, but I wonder how true that is. Perhaps we can turn off our ability to see where we’ve been, but that doesn’t mean that the phone isn’t still tracking us and reporting that information to Google or whoever else might have an interest. The only way we can be sure that our phone isn’t tracking us is to take out the battery (not possible with most modern phones) or buy one that doesn’t have GPS.
Another source of information that’s being used to track us is our shopping.
Have you ever searched for something online, then a few minutes later seen an ad for that very thing show up in your Facebook feed or in an online article you’re reading? That’s not by accident.
It’s a given that Facebook and Google are tracking our every keystroke, hoping to capitalize on those advertising dollars. But the question is; who else is doing the same? That’s something that we just don’t know, as nobody is being forthright and transparent about such things. All we know for sure is that it’s happening.
Then there are our purchases. Have you noticed how society is moving away from cash and more into using credit and debit cards? COVID-19 has really pushed that; especially with the supposed coin shortage.
That could all be a sham, as they can’t track our cash purchases, but they can track any purchase made with a credit or debit card.
The fact that the law-enforcement officers use this information in criminal investigations is such common knowledge that it’s been featured in many cop shows. You don’t think the writers just came up with that, do you?
Surveillance cameras are both becoming more commonplace and more sophisticated as time goes on.
A decade or so ago, the images were tiny and unclear. Now they’re as good as watching a movie, in color and with the ability to identify people over a block away.
Between security cameras and traffic cameras there are few places you can go in the city, where they can’t see you.
Again, this is one of those cases, like the NSA reading your communications, where people say “if you’re not doing anything wrong, it’s not a problem.” But none of us know who is using that information and how they are using it. Could there be some shadowy government agency, like the NSA, which is gathering information about us, to use in the event they decide we are dangerous? We just don’t know.
Fortunately, there are ways to beat surveillance cameras, either through the use of disguises or by blinding the camera. Modifying a hat, so that there are infrared LEDs around the brim, can keep those cameras from seeing your face. This doesn’t mean they can’t identify you at all; but it makes the job a whole lot harder.
There are also websites where people post the positions of security cameras and traffic cameras, giving us all the ability to know where they are and allowing us to plan routes which avoid that surveillance. If criminals do that, there’s no reason we can’t too.
Become the Grey Man
One of the best things we can do, besides protecting our online identity and information, is to make ourselves so unremarkable that nobody notices. There are people in this world, that you just don’t notice. We all do it. They are just so unremarkable that it’s like we don’t even see them.
One big category of people like this are people in uniform, regardless of what sort of uniform it is. We see the uniform, but not the person inside. People have literally hidden themselves from others that they know, by nothing more than wearing a uniform. Others, like the homeless, are people that we just turn away from, as if we don’t see them.
Related: 11 Survival Tricks Learned from Homeless People
Even without going to the point of a disguise, such as a uniform or looking like you’re homeless, there are things we can all do, which make us blend into the woodwork. Wearing dull clothing, moving with the crowd and making ourselves look unattractive are all things that will help keep people from noticing us.
Drop Out of Society
Finally, we could just drop out of society. Every once in a while you see a story about someone who has done that. They’ve totally dropped off the grid and are camping out somewhere in the wilderness. If you want to find them you’ve got to do a lot of looking and if you want to talk to them, you’ve got to go where they are.
Granted, this is a rather extreme solution to the problem and one that’s hard to do; but some people do it anyway. Alaska is a favorite destination for those that do. Their lives are different than our own, but at least their biggest threats come from nature and not from any two-legged predators, whether in government service or not.

interesting article. Sure wish people would stop saying things like “COVID-19 has really pushed that”, “because of Covid”, “Covid did” this/that. Though it is sad what Covid really has done, it has done VERY LITTLE: We The People have allowed our various levels of governments to do most of the damage that has happened in America this year! So the responsible parties are the govts and The People. Step up and demand govt stop violating your civil rights.
Yes. If we really want to know where the real problem with all this lies…we need to look in the mirror. There is a speech given in the movie, ‘V for Vendetta’ that really explains all this.
Whenever I try to go gray, I get comments from my family such as “you know you need to dress up a little more” or “where’s your handbag” or “why aren’t you wearing the nice watch I got you for Christmas.” #&@(&*#
Then your grey cover is mid level bland or one step up from your current attempts. If you are being noticed your cover isn’t effective.
Amen Rochelle! We have been submitting to surveillance for years through our “habits” and modern way of life. Stupid! Remember Bin Laden? It took so long to track him down because he used “runners” to obtain and deliver messages. He had no electronic trail. WE are responsible for this mess by our own co!place NYC, distractions, apathy, and willingness to “sell” our rights for a nickel. Again, stupid!
co!place NYC = complacence
If you want to be a ghost… cut yourselves off from all electronics and devices as well as banking. $cash$ in hand…although, cash will become traceable, if not removed from society…easier to trace you with debit card. With that said. Ask your family for a gift of “master & Amex” cards. purchase them with cash
avoiding surveillance…Do you ever wonder where Rona’s Social Distancing came from (besides and 8th grade Student**)…6′-0″.
As someone who engineered, access controls and CCTV (location/installation). people standing 6′ apart are easier to survale. If there was one thing, surveillance teams are not liking; Masks. Going ghost; Become a “Fauci” sycophant, and wear masks every time you’re in public. Have dozens of different or cheap medical masks. If you’re wondering; How can I load up on the medical masks. lookup your public health Department. These losers will be more than happy to help. Ask for a couple of boxes…for your Church…”)). Seriously, Local Gov’t have boxes of PPE
Most of all, if you’re going Ghost….stay healthy, and drop out of society. Make sure you have trained with your firearms; (muzzle load, cheapest ammo) and a compound and crossbow….before dropping out, load up on the essentials: ammo, Hot Shot for Muzzel Load. and everything for bow hunting. extra arrows, know how to build and tune them…have them cut to the proper length, and have extra broadheads
Rachelle, the sniveling little cowards who comprise about 51% of our citizenry and are afraid to step outside for fear of getting Covid are never going to demand anything from the government except more free stuff. They choose free things over freedom. The only right they will fight fir is the right to take what others earn for their own use. Covid is a total nothingburger and less you are predisposed genetically or are in a weakened state due to disease and poor lifestyle. Healthy people who have a certain chromosome cannot fight Covid and it kills them.
I’m 65. I was exposed to Covid in late June. I had a sore throat and was uncomfortable for 3 days. I’ve had flu symptoms in the past that make Covid look like a cold. I have no lingering affects. I know several people who had a similar experience. I know no person who died but I know some who have lingering symptoms. I know infants and children who were exposed but had no symptoms.
My point is this thing is just part of life. Some of us will adapt and continue a normal life, some will die and many will cower in fear and surrender their rights to control freaks who desire to rule instead of govern.
I was sick for less than 48 hrs. Took responsibility for myself, and pounded the immune boosters. Wish I’d gotten it sooner!
I’m about to turn 74. Had covid. Was miserable for weeks. Between while sick and unable to eat much and for after a while after, I lost most of 50 lb. But I did survive… felt like i was near death at one point. I won’t laugh at it. I’ve lost two younger friends to covid. Until it gets you, you dont know how it will effect you
so sorry ClergyLady! Sounds awful. I’m for sure not laughing at those who get really ill or worse. I stated I wish I’d gotten it sooner bc it is just so freeing once you don’t need to worry about it anymore. I really really highly recommend researching immune boosters and keeping them on hand bc there’s always going to be some illness floating around. And I strongly feel that the immune boosters are what made the covid so short and less severe for me, though it was still the worst I’ve felt in a long time. We took zinc, vit D3, vit C, multivits, SuperLysine, oregano oil, coconut oil, firecider (we went through a half gallon, half an ounce at a time!), water, sleep/naps, typical cooking herbs which all have health benefits and some specific to individual symptoms, all as if it was a fulltime job.
I understand. And I regularly take C, D3, Zink, And Multi. Do most of your list. Seldom get sick. Colds if they start get as far as sniffles and tickly throat then its gone. I really struggled getting over Covid then a med reaction in the middle of it.
The Drs are saying immunity starts to wear off in 2-6 months for most folks. It isn’t a one time thing for everyone. Hopefully most never get it a second time. The vaccinations aren’t claiming to be a permanent solution either. Not like Smallpox or polio. They were designed to be permenant solutions. Covid vaccine will need repeating but how often?
I eat well, work hard, and take my vitamins. Now I’m working hard to regain strength and stamina a little at a time. There was no garden this year. I’d started my plants to set out as soon as the weather warmed up. Instead they all died along with all my houseplants from lack of care. My neighbor took over the care of my critters while I couldn’t do it. I’ll sure miss him. He also was always working on my vehicles worked on the well or whatever was needed. He died of Covid in October. Never sick but by the 3rd day of symptoms he was flown to the city for care. Gone in under 3 weeks. Left a wife and 3 little grandchildren they had custody of.
The only chromosome you have is the one that is on locus13, the idiot chromosome. You know the one I speak of. The one that makes you think because you had cancer, and survived, that it’s not big deal, and only the weak or those with underlying predispositions die from it.
So you think that 51% of the “citizenry” are looking for, and expecting handouts? I can clearly see that you are a member of the cult. No need to say which, you know. I suppose you think because you have been asked to wear a mask, that in some sordid way your rights are being usurped. Do you cover your mouth when you sneeze or cough? Did you think your folks were tyrants when they taught you that was the considerate thing to do when you were a child? Buffoonery. That’s the only point you have made.
there is a huge difference between parents teaching their children, and government trying to force people to do something that it has no authority to do over something that has been 95% fearmonger propaganda. I understand that some people will get it much more severely than I did, and that is a sad thing. But historically, people have far more to fear from their own govt than anything else, from tyranny and ‘collateral damage’. Far more people are expected to starve to death from lost food production in the coming year than C19, not to mention the misery that will be caused by progressive tyranny. I was trying to encourage people to look into immune boosters and taking responsibility for their own health to lessen the effects.
Please note that I talked about principles, rather than resorting to namecalling or trying to trash others.
Hey NUT. LESS. Touch a nerve there parasite? I’m surprised you dropped the government tit long enough to make a comment. Thanks for sharing your ignorance. I love to view fools practicing their wares in public. When you come out of hiding from the big bad CV send us a few pictures so we can have a few more laughs.

Something to cheer you up.
Do you know why ants don’t get Covid?
Because they have little anty-bodies.
Glad you beat it. You are one tough clergylady.
Cute, little anty-bodies.
Do us a favor DB and point out exactly where in my comment I used the word mask or even referred to a mask? That’s right. You can’t. Your just a typical freedom and liberty fearing loser who sucks the government tit 24/7 365. Run upstairs, mommy has your bowl of Cap’n Crunch ready sweetheart.
Its not that anyone doesn’t understand the idea of protecting the vulnerable – its that people are smart enough to protect themselves much better than the government. Covid 19 Government imposed restrictions have been an exercise in government control. There are tons of studies verifying the fact that what has been done -requiring masks and forced shut downs have done little to stop the spread of this virus. Its been in the name of protection that has enabled the government representatives to effectively control the population. I don’t know about you but I like my freedom. Im not interested in government control. Its certainly daunting to imagine what’s coming in our future after this social experiment . People are willing to have others arrested for non compliance for forgetting a mask! Think about what comes next!
JAM – The fall out all around us proves your points are right on target! We have to continue to speak up to lead ourselves out of this mess! The so called public health scientific experts have failed miserably. The swamp has used the pandemic to capitalize on the situation with a roll out of their own agenda! Thank goodness it’s all in God’s Hands! Merry Christmas!
December 23rd, 2020.
“AS PART OF OUR LEGAL ACTION we had been demanding the evidence that this virus actually exists [as well as] evidence that lockdowns actually have any impact on the spread of viruses; that face-masks are safe, and do deter the spread of viruses – They don’t. No such studies exist; that social distancing is based in science – It isn’t. it’s made up; that contact tracing has any bearing on the spread of a virus – of course it doesn’t. This organisation here – is making it up as they go along.” – Gemma O’Doherty
Originally streamed live from the office of Tony Holohan Chief Medical Officer of Ireland.
Occams – Fear not! Logic will prevail where science fails. Here, we have the good Dr Fauci who makes it all up as he merrily goes along. Another one who doesn’t not know what he is doing! We no longer find it odd that he is best buddies with the Cuomo Brothers, lockdown dim witted festering NYDemocratic Socialist Scum.
Democratic Socialist Scum, eh? I love it!
So much better than my old school Commie Pinkos.
Govgirl – Let us not forget that he recently won an Emmy for his Covid TV performances, detailing state policies and actions with which he would kill over 6,000 and at the same time in which he also made it clear that he is out looking for love…… what a catch no? When they say, “only in NY” this is what they mean! That’s in part why I added on the scum part!
When you got the “sore throat and was uncomfortable for 3 days” how do you know you actually had Covid? Were you tested, or do you just like to claim you had Covid in order to look like a tough guy who survived Covid of your own machismo? Maybe what you thought was Covid was merely a cold. And how do you relate “choose free things over freedom” to wearing a mask to prevent the spread of disease? I have friends who died recently of Covid, their deaths were not a “nothing burger”. My wearing a mask in public is not cowering in fear. It is respect for the welfare of my fellow man.
Oracle. Unusual name for someone so blind to reality that they publicly confess their complete lack of wisdom. In a few decades if you acquire wisdom you may fully understand this comment.
Just Pelosi: Hey, I see you’re back. How was your vacation from reality, ma’am? You know, people would like you at least a little is you stopped acting like frustrated old maid. Just a suggestion! Word is, Oracle is a name not just a term. More, he’s a benefit to many on Preppers. He’s here to learn and teaches, as well. He encourages. You know, if you tried a high fiber diet, you’d be too busy to harass folks. As least it would come out the right end and not your mouth.
Red-Thanks. I needed that. HA x 100.
Red, is Justme a regular on here? he/she/it seems to be a bit unhinged. Their dissociative identity disorder indicates such a divergence of issues, all worthy of comment. Could it merely be Catman has returned incognito? LOL
Oracle: Seems to be the same one. You can’t just ignore spoilers like that. confront and destroy. who knows? she may get a laugh out of playing the Game (insulting each other for fun). niio
Red, the name Justme sounded familiar to me so I looked on some other conservative site’s comments section. Justme regularly does the same thing on several other websites, always stirring crap while posing to be conservative, even making remarks that on the surface appear to be such. But ultimately exposes their true self as bitter and very hate filled, which is typical to all leftists and liberals. Just wait till Justme gets on the anti-Christian rant, it gets ugly.
Oracle: That’s why I call her Mrs. Clinton/Pelosi. It’s something liberals would do to force people to stop going to those sites. I loved the one where she threatened to kill me. I can see that. Before she fired a round, half the little old ladies would have some fun with a living target. It is Indian Country 🙂
Red- Well done! You must have been captain of the debating team in high school.
CC: Nope, it’s an old injun thing, the Game. You see blacks playing all the time like those you mama so fat jokes. Ours tend to be (cough) a little racier. Like, ya? you mama still taking care of pervs, man? Answer, no, why you need some? 🙂 It goes downhill from there. 1st person to get angy loses. niio
Red- Ah! Yes! The good old days of being just plain ole politically incorrect! Enjoying a joke without any callout fallout, basking in the pure joy of freedom of speech! POCs do that all the time to each other at the local park. If I were to do the same, I’d be in some big trouble around here.
CC: I did it with a white Puerto Rican, once. He got all outraged, but the Puerto Rican Tainos laughed and then jeered him for not playing the Game. He lost face because of that. He said later he always wondered why the mestizos, black and Indians were always doing that. Blacks like to make it poetry. I’m happy just to top the next dude and am respected because I usually can. Too many evil genes, mebbe 🙂 Peace! niio
Thanks Red, needed the chuckle & the reminder. Try living with a Shoshone who is a master of that game!
Lol Red, I live in a Spaish village. The kids stsrted start teasing my Indian kids, “yo Mama wears combat boots”. My kids answered, “she sure does and she can stomp yo Daddy”. End of that.
ClergyLady: LOL! Ya, I can see it. Right after we moved top town from the farm, the neighbor kids started that. We answered back, no, but why didn’t your father! (he had been in WWII, but it confused ’em 🙂 Then Mom, who was never in the military, stomped their father for hitting me. Lucky him, she didn’t have a redneck husband tamer handy–Louisville Slugger. Or, for that matter, that Dad was at work. niio
Hmmm. Somewhere I have a silver aluminum bat. I should hunt it up and let it stand at attention by the front door. I keep a machete by my recliner. Dogs of one kind or another are always snooping around here.
So you think berating and attacking those who don’t agree with you, when you can’t come up with an intelligent response, shows wisdom? I asked you legitimate questions, answer them. You want to talk wisdom, show me where I was wrong in my comment. I fully live in reality, I am not swayed or influenced by propaganda and disinformation, whether from the government or from an uninformed tough guy online. Why are you so bitter? Life not turning out to be what you had hoped for? Are you proud to be the rudest person on this forum?
Red, my comment appeared just under yours, it was not directed to you but to Justme. And I forgot to preface it with a recipient’s name.
Oracle: I know. 🙂 ! niio
Masks don’t work! Maybe the “I’m helping granny” made sense during the summer months but now it is completely a social credit score checking/maintaining device. You might thing tyranny looks pretty and comes in all kind of great features but it’s still tyranny, and you’re still just a coward even if you are a fashionable one.
Truth: If that ain’t the truth! I’ve 2 cousins who are biologists (retired) and they laugh at it. One got burned in Hot Zone and spent like 6 weeks in ICU, then had to retire. Even she won’t wear one because it acts as an incubator for anything that’s in the lungs, throat, or sinuses. niio
Justme,….. 100% CORRECT! I had a good friend, lifelong from childhood, who recently passed from Pneumonia,….but they’re calling it,…..”COVID”! Imagine THAT! His mom,…… 92 yrs. old by the way,….. is from the Phillipines,….. SHE caught it too,….. and has NO symptoms,…..ZERO! NOT even a sniffle! Her lifestyle and eating habits have always kept her healthy. The son who passed, – caught up in our fast-food-world, diabetic on insulin, and waaaaaay overweight. Now the Mom has to bury the son! SO sad!
Unless you are prepared to hide-out in the wilds and go completely off-grid they will find you and monitor you. I wish that I was still young enough and fit enough!
Of course somebody foresaw the pandemic! Gates for example, you still find his statement ‘predicting’ a major pandemic during Pres Trump’s 1st term. The people organizing Event 201. The World Economic Forum, who probably planned this out over the years in their luxurious hell holes in Davos.
Jay: We get a ‘new’ pandemic every two years, and have for decades. Most seem to start in china. niio
Most modern pandemics start in a lab.
The Soviets and US were fair with small pox, US not so careful with weaponized Anthrax.
This gerome changing virus and vaccine is still poorly understood both vecror and “cure”.
chip: What? Towards the end of WWII, when Japan abandoned China, Mao’s Mongolian allies reported on plague labs in their country. Hitler sent close to a half-million SS and Gestapo into the world, to refugee nations. the lion’s share went to his bro, Stalin. Stalin immediately sent thousands to Mao to take china and they stopped him from destroying the labs. If you look at all the plagues we’re hit with, since the Hong Kong flu, most seem to have started in China. In 1986, China was put on the watch list for nations making bioterror weapons.
CRISPR is a game changer.
I disappeared for 10 months. That was long before all the tracking junk and cameras everywhere. I took one change of clothing, a pocket knife and half a book of paper matches. I think that is what it would take today and head to some place away from most towns. I was in a rural place away from people. It was hard then and would be harder today.
Looks like Biden is going to be president. God help us. May have to go gray sooner than later
You think the few years that separates them means anything? Trump is in worse health and state of mind!
Insanity. Let I go!!!
Tara – But at least The President gets stuff done! Let’s see, troops home, wall built, Abraham Accord bringing peace in Middle East, the new grade deal, strategic production and manufacturing back, energy independent, vaccine against Covid19, drugs no longer pouring into our country, tax cut, MS13 on the run, no terrorist attacks here on US soil, stock market up, Space Force. The list of his accomplishments goes on and on! Name one single thing old Joe did in the 47 years he has been in politics. Can’t think of anything? Here’s one – he lined his own pockets!
I would give you 50 “thumbs up” but the system is rigged!
Rafa – Here’s more – fixing the VA, giving our military a raise, fixing substandard military base family housing, unveiling and throwing out the Chinese spies, prison reform, education reform, three new Constitutionally conservative Supreme Court Judges, so many federal judicial appointments I’ve lost track of the count! I’m sure I’m still forgetting to list more here and that others here can add to my list! How’s yours coming along?
CC: and right now anyone in a border state who voted for biden is shaking in their boots. How many thousands, and a lot of them are OTMs, are camping at the border ready to flood us? And people wonder why little old ladies on the reservations are buying Louisville Sluggers. It’s to practice the warstick on stupid grandkids who voted for the biden crime family. niio
Red- Yup! Thank goodness right now we still have a president who knows how to fight and fight back he will! This nothing there there, pardon me, is nothing but bs. Cant wait to see all the swamp rats scurry for the exits when the truth prevails. And of all things, Red, I forgot to list pulling up the weeds on the tarmac at the Houston Space Center and bringing back our space program!
CC: this morning someone on fb called biden a sack or sh*t. I told him he should be ashamed for call sh*t biden.
Been listening to some good stuff. Eric trump giving some details to the biden crime family, Assange talking with Hillary the Genocidal Psycho and so on.
Sewer rats only flee the light when they need to. Right now, there’s plenty for them to feed on, and that they swarm. The lame stream news media is finally admitting a lot of things about the bidens but this is only to put harris in office. She can make biden look conservative. Things should get interesting if she makes it. Then watch African Americans making excuses for her bigotry against them.
I thought they used flame throwers to kill weeds in the tarmac. And, hasta la bye bye, as the late, great Telly Savalas used to say. niio
Lol Red. Hear you. I have an ancient war club in a new wood handle. Estmated age 1200 years. Still as good as new. It was a gift. Stone about 4″x 6.5″ I always wondered how the groove was made to lash it to a handle. Wow is it heavy.
ClergyLady: Little bitty rabbit stick? 🙂 Compression, probably, take part of an antler and press at an angle. That, or wang leather treatment, snapping the rock a few dozen times to heat it, then a drop of cold water on to cause minor fractions. For basalt, they used coarse sandstone to abrade it away. We had one in the fam that the end was carved to look like a raven’s claws and a rock carved to fit into it. niio
Lol I could definitely use this thing on butchering day so long as no one stands near and I don’t drop it on toes. It sure could either cause or cure a headache. Or amputate a few toes.
City Chick, I’m a veteran and your 100% right about the V.A. It was a nightmare under Obama. I’m in San Diego and crossed the border a few times to get treated in Mexico.
Jrod – Bin that way for such a long time, and was such a terrible same upon our great nation too! Spent my first 8 years out of college as a military dependent so I know first hand how disgraceful the whole situation has been! Such a misnomer, “military dependent” if ever there was one! Thank you so much for your service to our country, You enabled us live freely during the day, and to sleep tight at night! and a wish to you for very Merry Christmas!
It’s obvious that your state of mental health has reached third world status. Run out of tissues crying about your queen Hillary going into the second term if her reign?
Pitiful. The new regime is going to be worse than Hillary, if they actually get in.. I hope whoever voted for them sees the light after they pull out the hammer and sickle. Enjoy the soup lines…
Stu: biden is no longer called president elect. Electors are siding with Trump, not the dnc. But, keep any plans for going gray active. If the think tanks are right, no matter who wins, we’re in for a bad, rough next 6 months. niio
HELL NO! Too many iron’s in the fire yet, it was worse than they thought & are still blowing up tunnels & Those frauds are soon to be EXPOSED!!! IJN!
If this is your plan, you need to start ‘before’ the SHTF. The IR LEDs around a hat brim or hoodie only work at night against cameras using NV. ‘FedCoin’ is a digital monetary system our government is planning to roll out, sometime in the near future. After that…’all’ financial transactions can and will be monitored. Dropping off the grid is not as easy as it sounds and needs to be done in planned, careful steps. Research it some…’before’ you you do it. If you you go too fast, you might find out you took a step you should have waited on and now you can’t get your money or something else you need. ALL of this is like going into witness protection…your old life including all your friends and family…unless they are going with you…need to be forgotten and never contacted or visited, again.
Too late, Dave, the SHTF already. We’ve been preparing for years, and still need more time to fine tune it all. Something even bigger than Covid and a stolen election are on the way.
Didn’t foresee what a pandemic would do? Stephen Konkoly did in his book “The Jakarta Pandemic.” While the hero is over the top prepared and seems to have an endless supply of cash — a problem I would certainly like to have to address — I think Konkoly did an excellent job of writing, a, a preppier instruction manual and, b, laying out just what would happen with a world wide pandemic. Read it. It certainly is worth whatever it is going for. You can get it on Kindle as well as hard copy and it may even be on audio books.
Secondly, depending upon what constitutes the End of The World Scenario, an HAEMP or an X-category CME, would destroy most computer electronics. First world governments today depend totally on computers to operate. All those computers draw so much juice they are hardwired into the electric grid. After either of the aforementioned electrical events, the huge NSA center in Utah would be a giant, silent cyclone-fenced pile of junk. The only thing of value would be the snacks in the lunch rooms and the bottled water in the vending machines. Inside would be an ice box in the winter and a blast furnace in the summer. So much for the government using its records to track citizens after the EOTW.
If you really want to drop out, you have to figure out some way to delete the memory banks of all the social networking sites you have visited including this one. Good luck. The best you can do is go dark and stop posting everywhere. Stop even visiting any sites. Just take your computer hard drive out and smash it and the rest of the machine. Do the same with your phone. Then send them to the landfill. Stop using electronics to communicate. Go back to snail mail. Use a private postal box service.
Actually, our dictator wannabes have done us a great service insisting on wearing a mask. Can you imagine going into your local bank wearing a mask, sunglasses and a hat this time last year? The local swat team would be screeching to a halt in the bank parking lot in just a couple of minutes. Now you can’t even go into the bank unless you are disguised as Willie Sutton. (For those of you not old enough to remember Willie Sutton, he was an infamous bank robber. When asked why he held up only banks his reply was simplicity in itself, “Because that’s where the money is.”
And finally, while out in public dress like everyone else. If no one is wearing the latest in hunting camo, don’t you think you stand out just a tad all togged out in Cabela’s latest pattern? On the other hand if most folks ARE wearing camo because it is opening day of elk season in Montana, dressed like the latest fashion on Madison Ave with loafers, faux military jacket and funky sunglasses are going to make you stick out. If your hair is purple when few others are so adorned, guess what? You stand out. It’s hard to be “the gray man” when you have tats on your face and hands and are wearing a hairstyle designed to make you stand out. Lose the nose ring and the pvc tubes in your ear lobes. See if a doc can stitch them back so the holes aren’t so obvious.
I think if there is a serious breakdown of society we won’t have to worry about organized government, we will have to worry more about the nuts on our block or four blocks over.
William S. Lind in his series of books and columns on Fourth Generation Warfare opines that statist government that has existed since the Treaty of Westphalia, is in an extreme state and is collapsing all over the world. His posit is that government’s primary purpose for existence is safety of its members and that government as it exists today is failing in that endeavor. He predicts, based on that failure, that statist governments, federal, state and to a lesser degree, local governments will lose all effectiveness and society will devolve into what we had in the Middle Ages before the Treaty of Westphalia, small local strongholds and strong local leaders who provide safety from outside intruders.
A grim forecast indeed, but with the new administration seemingly set to take control in Washington and with their continued emphasis on open borders, we will cease to exist as a nation. No nation can persist if it does not control its borders and who it allows in.
If you haven’t read any of Lind’s works, or Konkoly, I enthusiastically recommend both authors.
End Times Alaska by Craig Martelle is like a primer for how to survive any end times scenario. He is a former career Marine turned writer. Excellent book and even though it’s fiction, I learned a lot from the book. He also wrote a book called World’s Worst Day Ever, one that reads like today. It’s part of a larger series, but I think the relevance to the current international situation is spot on. It’s taken from a brief by a retired CIA operative.
Both are available in the kindle unlimited store or are really cheap to buy.
Happy day to everyone, I’ll go back to lurking and learning now.
LCC, I read the Jakarta Pandemic back in 2010, looking back now, it was prophetic. This good article here is titled “How To Become Untraceable When SHTF”. Well, to be honest with the election stolen for Biden, the S has already HTF. I began easing out of the public eye in 1996 when I sold my properties, paid off loans, and cut up all credit/charge cards. I have not made a loan or used a credit card, and have paid cash for everything since then. I owe no one. My house and land are paid for and I have 10 years of property tax funds stashed away. I sleep well at night due to that. l Iived in Mexico full time for 14 years, moved back here stateside to Missouri 3 years ago. My time in Mexico was helpful in removing me from public records here. Oh, and I don’t own a registered/contracted cell phone. I use burner phones and toss them. I have a bank account dated back 44 years ago, the original company has changed hands 3 times and their normal account numbers are now 19 numbers long, mine are still 5 numbers total. I use a debit card from that account for online purchases and I only deposit cash into it as needed. My address on file with that bank, and other companies, is a drop box that forwards my mail to me, but I handle everything banking wise online and receive notices by email. Some how my drivers license ended up with no social security number attached to it when the friendly DOT girl added all zeros where the SS number should have gone 30 years ago, I renewed the license here in Missouri with no problems. Still no social security attached to it. If things get sticky, I use my international passport out of Mexico and I also hold dual citizenship, US and Mx. I have a few other special tricks that I won’t go into online here, but I will say, the ATF has zero record of me. And I know I’m veiled because I don’t get any offers for credit cards or loans by postal mail, while my family gets dozens of offers in the postal mail box daily. I receive nothing beyond business I’ve established in my postal mail drop box. BTW, Oracle is not my name.
Oracle – Bet the bank still has your original information on file and anyone who wants to find you just needs to look for your name online as it is probably listed on your tax bill and also the title to your house.
CC, original banking info has changed several times over the decades. One of the “tricks” I mentioned that I won’t disclose has to do with one errant numeral in a very important source of ID that I was given 55 years ago. Titles are locked, even so, county records are useless to track the owner of my properties as they end up in offshore accounts. Keep in mind that record-keeping computers at all levels of private industry and government are accessible if and when needed, to verify, make changes, or temporarily delete info. have my reasons to remain grey. I
Left Coast Chuck: I agree with a lot of what you say. Something to think about though: “I think if there is a serious breakdown of society we won’t have to worry about organized government”…what if the serious breakdown of society is orchestrated by government?
Rochelle: I think if statist governments orchestrate the breakdown of society, it will actually hasten their demise. Their only hope for continuation is a calm state with property rights and individual safety for all. Without that there is no need for government. It looks as if the city of Portland is going to be the first to fail on a local level. Portland city government now is considering personal deprivation as a defense for property crimes of all descriptions. It has already had the beginnings of anarchy within its borders. If anyone can steal anything and claim that they are deprived and that is justification for stealing it, property of all kinds is going to be subject to theft. No home will be safe. What need is there for government if any group of thugs can break into your home and there is no legal recourse? The only recourse will be vigilantism and that will mean the strongest, best armed, most willing to use lethal force will prevail. I would say that’s a Mad Max world but I didn’t see the movie, so I don’t know if that is an appropriate simile.
William Lind states in his writings that the anarchists do not want to actually rule. They think they prefer a state of disorder where mob rule is the order of the day with no one in charge.
My personal opinion is that is totally unworkable. What will happen is that some strongman or woman will organize a group and seize control of the situation. It has been thus since the first group of humanoids gathered together in a troop with the alpha male ruling by rule of might. In some groups the alpha female is the leader. If it weren’t so disrupting to what we have striven to maintain for 200+ years it would be interesting to watch from the sidelines to see how it devolves. Unfortunately, none of us will be allowed that disinterested viewpoint. We will be too embroiled in what is taking place, trying to preserve our family’s safety and lives.
I think there is a very large number of people who see government breaking apart. Have you tried buying ammunition? Have you seen gun sales still breaking all time records? If you don’t have a personal defense weapon, I am not talking about a three-shot 6 mm Remintgon, but a firearm that takes multiple round magazines, you are now significantly behind the curve. I would be purchasing machetes and spears if I didn’t have firearms.
Someone said, “You only have too much ammunition if you are drowning or are on fire.” Sounds like good advice.
You don’t want to hesitate firing on a bad guy who is at the limits of your accurate fire because you only have a limited supply of ammo. You want to keep firing until he is hidden from view. Who know, it may not be his lucky day and in a broken society, getting shot is going to be like it was in the 19th century, if not instantly fatal due to bleed out, eventually fatal due to infection.
Looking back after the Bidden election I think that last part is spot on.
LCC- According to Biden “the worst is yet to come”. If he is in charge, he may be right as he will make that happen, but he too will be temporary in the long run, and the likes of him will not prevail!
LCC: I read today that liberals are coming out and ‘admitting’ they over did it on their pandemic. niio
Red – What’s happening to Joe Biden now as he is forced to sign things he does not read, and stand in place where is does not know where he is or why he is there is nothing more than Elder Abuse!
CC: Harris is president, not biden. soros owns harris and biden. chicoms are getting freakier because a lot of states are passing 2nd amendment rights laws that supersede federal laws. 3 counties in east oregon will vote to decide to become part of Idaho, and 2 more may join them. biden is already down around the world for being a bigger clown than King Ludwig II the nut of Bavaria. the really amazing thing is, if we’re right and biden ‘retires’ by the ides of March, he may well be the only dem president in history to not cause a war. Then again it usually takes the world a year to get over fear of conservatives and moderate repubs. When liberal rags start to recount joe’s sins, then see how long he lasts. BTW, word is, pedo joe got caught with a ten-year-old, already.
Red – I don’t think so Red! Harris isn’t the President. She’s the Home Help Aid!
Regarding our phones tracking us – new smart phones cannot remove the batter.
HOWEVER, if you put your phone inside a Faraday cage it cannot transmit. Therefore, it cannot track you.
I know it seems as if I am beating the drum for Art Bradley, but he sells a light weight bag that he says will protect your phone from intercept no matter what generation. It is a lot more convenient than the four layers of aluminum wrap that I suggested but more expensive. Sorry, I don’t have an url for his products. You will have to do the online search that I would have to do to provide same.
If you want to see how Congress has already put in motion (last May) the use of the virus as an excuse to keep track of you and everyone you contact just go to the congressional web site and read all about the TRACE Act
H.R.6666 – COVID-19 Testing, Reaching, And Contacting Everyone (TRACE) Act
You use to have to belong to the tin hat club to believe stuff like this was happening.
The only thing lacking is that they are not talking to us thorough the earbuds in our ears —yet.
I don’t know…A friend came over. He wanted to know why i made him whisper. I told him about the the government listening. He laughed…I laughed…Alexa laughed…
Great article, thank you. I really liked the references to what’s called the “nothing to hide fallacy”. Just because I have nothing to hide does not make my information any less sensitive for me, nor does it make it anybody else’s business, government, private business or anybody else.
Well guess what today they rolled out the first shot of the Covid 19 Vaccine and I also heard from the BBC that there is a mutation in south London that is more infectious than the two forms of the virus that have already made it into the population. So continue to get stocked up with supplies. We Just may need them over the winter.
” While there are those who say “if you’re not doing anything wrong, there’s nothing to worry about,” the government’s definition of “wrong” is subject to change…”
So true, just look at the recent raid by ATF on Polymer 80. Totally selling a legal product by ATF definition, but still being harrassed !
The alphabet soup agencies have some stored up aggression to take out on the PATRIOTS. The way it is always with democrat administrations.
Clinton – Ruby Ridge and WACO
Obama – Bundy Ranch and Oregon standoff
BIDEN – ??????????????????
I watched Old Joe hack and cough through his speech tonight, rightly pointing out that Trump and his sycophants have been trying to subvert the Constitution. I don’t think he’s going to complete even 1 year of his term. Kamala was the 1st candidate rejected by voters in the Democratic primaries, obviously the choice of the power structure to replace Trump. Please don’t try to tell me she is a liberal socialist Marxist, she’s just another sock puppet.
We don’t lose our freedom to the plots of dictators but to convenience. When I got my 1st soc sec card it was printed plainly upon it, not for use as identification. At this point we might as well have 666 tattooed on our wrists.
You can get a significant level of online privacy by always using a Virtual Private Network when you go online, combined with a browser that guards your privacy and includes an anonymous email. Of course, that’s not very convenient.
If you think you are off grid but still have a driver’s license, go ahead and take the blue pill.
The only way i’ll disappear is to walk off into the mountains. But with a husband with Alzheimers to care for that’s not likely.
A lot of these kinds of survival articles are written by healthy men. I am elderly and not able to carve out a wilderness hideout. I plan to shelter in place. My home is stocked and I have guns. If thieves take my supplies, let them think they cleaned me out. I have resources hidden. Well hidden. I have to rely on wits and not muscle. I also have land if I need to leave. The government is going to be busy tracking all those young men. They will not be interested in one old woman. The thieves will eventually be killed off by someone. I also am a Christian and I’m not afraid of being killed. Be prepared physically and spiritually.
I agree with what you say; you sound well-prepared with a reasonable plan. Still, I have a niggling thought that you and I are low-hanging fruit. I worked in government and numbers were important so for a good report you always processed the easy stuff first to get those numbers up. Taking guns, commandeering supplies or rounding people up, they’ll go for quantity first.
I have never worked for the government, but I have worked alongside government programs. They are not necessarily bright. I do think time will tell what we should do. I think the federal government will descend into anarchy. The law and order will depend upon local law enforcement and citizens. I have been told stories by my relatives about the civil war. The county I live in is the same that my ancestors lived in.. The law was enforced by the local lawmen and deputized men when needed. Also there was an escape route for those who needed it. I inherited land from my kinfolk. Its in the backwoods lying between two tiny towns. I have thought about offering a place to go to people in exchange for some protection. It has plenty of water and a mild climate. Of course, that means rules must be laid down. No useless people who would attract attention and cause trouble. People would have to accept that things have changed and they need to adapt to it. These are just thoughts that may never come about. At least we should all be thinking about what to do. I think survival “pods” will spring up more than they are now. Scripture says that even after the Great Tribulation there will be survivors after those days.
I think it would be useful to try to visit or read about some of these communal survival groups to learn from their experiences, and mistakes. You might do a computer search for any information online and perhaps our fellow Preppers could offer up where to learn more. Most of the advice I’ve seen here is to go slowly and to carefully draw people out without tipping your hand.
I try to remember the advice my Jewish grandmother gave me when I was a child and we played Old Maid—“Tit your cards, Dahlink, I can see your hand.”
This is very all very true!
Mike: I still have my social security card that says in faded red print “Not For Identification Purposes.”
“Ha ha ha ha ha. You believed us on that one. That’s why we keep telling bigger and bigger lies, because you are so gullible.”
I appreciate this article because with the rise in technology especially electric cars and the percentage of financial transactions, it’s hard not to feel the government is or could very easily keep tabs on you.
I want to raise the issue that snail mail may not be as incognito as we would like as well. You know those letter sorting machines the post office uses? It scans the outside of every envelope. I found this out when my sister in GA had POA on my mom in Florida and arranged with the post office to get emails scans of the enveloped mom got in case something important happened that she had to handle.
I was appalled at this expanded use of the letter sorting scans because of the potential for government abuse and because the service is free.
Anyone can arrange to receive emailed scans of the front of envelopes sent to them supposedly to help keep track of important incoming correspondence. The program is called Informed Delivery. The USPS website says the info is kept for only “a week to thirty days.” I am not sure I believe this anymore than I believe the government doesn’t hang onto the gun purchase info collected when they do a background check. So, in the event the government decides that monitoring the whereabouts of its people is a good thing, the mail service is already set up to track delivery of a piece of mail. The sender can protect himself by not putting a return address on the envelope, but the recipient’s address will be scanned into the LSM.
Tried to check scanning of envelopes at UPS. They scan in all packages, but what I read wasn’t clear about letters. Did not check FedEx.
Saw there was an article on ham radios. Maybe I’ll read that next to see if it is an option.
Law enforcement can request a mail hold on anyone’s mail with no warrant or any other official sanction. The P.O. would hold the mail for a limited number of days and a leo could come in and scan the addresses and make note of from whom the mail came plus your literature and periodicals. You never knew it was taking place. You mail just seemed a couple of days slow. That has been going on for decades if not centuries.
I opined some time last year that with modern scanning techniques the cop didn’t even have to go to the p.o. to check the mail and no delays were involved, that it was p.o. computer to cop computer and a lot less paper work involved in tracking. Let the computer do the analyzing, collating and sorting. I’m not surprised that the p.o. is set up to do the same electronically.
GG’s post just confirms that my suspicions were dead on. Even non-law enforcement can get it done for them.
Welcome to 1984.
You were right all along, LCC. The question is: Which is worse-the intrusion on citizens’ privacy as a result of measures instituted to fight terrorism or the trampling of our constitutional rights by state and local politicians to fight the coronavirus? (Note I am giving everybody the benefit of the doubt here and not ascribing any ulterior motives.)
The answer to your question is very obvious. The latter out weighs the former a million times. How many businesses have been shut down because of terrorism? How many people have lost their homes and jobs because of terrorism? How many people have died because governors moved corona patients into nursing homes because of terrorism? Looks like it is governors and mayors are the terrorist in America and soon will go all the way up to the White House in about a month
You’re right, Stu. That was stupid of me. I am retired and can dither about having to wear a mask to Walmart rather than worrying about having lost my job. I hope we can all get back to that place. Thank you.
I keep thinking about this. Obviously we need to think about protecting our own butts and making plans for the future bc that is our responsibility. On the other hand, if we go gray too early we are abdicating our responsibility to stand up and fight tyranny and thus are part of the problem. We should pray about what our role and actions should be now and in the future.
Rachelle – Whole heartedly agree with you here as I do my best to hold the line in The Big City! Running away doesn’t fix anything. It only adds to the problem because you’ve allowed it to fester and grow. You also will be blind sighted as you won’t see it coming simply because you will not even know what to look for let alone how to stop it. To those of you who think you will, I say really?
Leaving the Big Cities due to crime, corrupt government, and lack of laws to protect citizens is not “running away”. It is wisdom in action. The “line you hold” ends at your locked front door, beyond that you are at the mercy of liberal, criminal politicians. If you can afford to live in a big city, you can afford to live an even better life in a rural small town. Get out while you can.
Oracle – You’ve helped me make my point very clear. You have to confront bullies otherwise they will just keep doing it! Appreciate the comment. God Bless You and a very Merry Christmas!
I would love to Disappear from Society, but can’t afford to i have my Mother to take care of. But my Mother wants to move, but were Stuck in Communist Maryland.
I know folks in MD who are like you. And also feel abandoned by the rest of America! So I say you all have to get real vocal! Running away never solves anything. What’s left if we all leave? Bigger problems! A festering wound in our country that needs attention rather than be ignored. We’re Fighting back here in the big city! You can too!
If you are barely able to cover basic expenses each month, then you may not be able to afford to move, but if you have any extra at all or any savings, you can.
Moving doesn’t have to be expensive. If you know where you want to go, (which may be cheaper than where you are now), it may be affordable.
I did a lot of research when we moved from Oregon to WA. We moved with pods. They delivered them and we filled them up. A whole hh of goods including a month or so in storage was $1200.00. U-Haul has a similar setup. U-Haul also has a list of people you can hire to load and unload if you don’t have friends who can help with the lifting. It can be done even cheaper if you rent a U-Haul truck, fill it and drive yourself. If you are just moving a state or two over and can drive it back to where you rented it from, it gets really cheap and you are just renting the truck for 2-3 days and paying mileage. It costs more to leave it at a different location. And, yes, I realize there are start up expenses at the new place like utility deposits, etc. I know what a huge undertaking it is, but depending on a person’s situation, it may be affordable.
Govtgirl, agreed, moving is as cheap or as expensive as one wants to make it. A do-it-yourself move renting a U-Haul truck is as cheap as you can go. I looked it up, as an example a person could rent and drive a 20′ U-Haul truck from NYC to Springfield Missouri (1200 miles) for $2000 plus fuel. The 20′ truck is said to handle the contents of a 2-bedroom home. That $2000 would absolutely change a person’s life for the better. Most people could make $2000 on a garage sale if they set their mind to getting rid of the non-essentials that clutter their home. To anyone considering making a move to safety, th best time to go is now, not when the roads are full of hysterical “golden hoards” fleeing the cities.
Share a rental while selling things and saving. Put what you really want in a storage unit and you finish up selling. Hopefully you have a relative of a friend who will let you crash there for a while. I’ve even purchase a truck for less than a rental. At the other end of the move I had the choice to keep or sell the truck. For the last move we had a pickup heavy enough to pull a trailer. Even cheaper to rent than a truck rental. I traded things for help. I bought a 6×16 flat bed trailer for $1000 for the last move. Rural living with a pick up and trailer has made good sense. Years ago we moved a family with 3 boys on a 8×20 trailer.
A friend was serious enough about moving, to move everything worth keeping into a storage unit, moved out of a rental, slept in a car and kept moving around while saving up moving money. Social security was direct deposited. A rural rental was a lot cheaper. She visited a church before moving and asked if she could get help once she moved. It worked and she’s stuck with that church. Her son drove the truck.
It just depends on how serious you are and how inventive you are.
Your posting is very helpful. Our car and 26 yo shortbed were not heavy enough to qualify to rent the towed trailers even tho both have hitches. So, I just abandoned that whole line of thinking. Never occurred to me to buy something. Will remember to think outside box for next move. Thanks.
Lol several years later I have a 2003 super duty, crew cab 4×4. Now with a blown head gasket. My car is a 2003 Ford with who know how many miles on it.. it was a cab and is painted the typical yellow. Actually I bought 2 of them. I’d saved up a little to get a used car. I looked and looked, a lot i couldn’t afford to repair for the money I had. I saw the cab fleet was being sold. Well maintained and many with high miles had newer motors and new front seats. I mads a deal on two of them for less than I’d planned to spend on one. I gave the second one to my neighbor. It isnt pretty…. i hate yellow cars! But it would fly if it had wings. Police interceptor. The truck is worth the repair but I don’t have the money. I have a 2005 Prius that has a newly rebuilt battery bank. And is road ready. I drove it home, and I’ve driven it once as a test drive. My trading skills maybe worth getting the truck headgasket repair and a rear bumper for a 1999 Ford Ranger. I used to do a lot of the work myself. No longer.
The Ranger would be an ok thing to run to town in. A couple of repairs before I decide. Body is rough. Driver door only opens from inside. Slider in back window is missing. Rear window on camper shell is missing. The slider and rear bumper will decide it. Ill open up the door and look at that problem. It feels disconnected. If its too much ill look for a door at you pull it. Hopefully the rear bumper won’t be hard to find. It was a stolen vehicle. The owner didn’t want it in the shape it was in when returned. It runs great. I care more about that than looks. Kind of like my crew cab 4×4. It does me no good just sitting. The Ranger wouldn’t be safe pulling the trailers i have for the big truck. They do need to match up.
ClergyLady: I had 2 Rangers in my life. Same problem with both, body gets eaten up. Same thing with the Tracker and any vehicle but the Chevy. I want to get this paid off, and go to PA next fall and hunt for a newer truck, one with 4-wheel drive. Tires, too, for that matter. I paid $55.00 each for good truck tires there, but here, that much for cheap ones. Strange thing is, Mexico recaps but PA demands no recaps can be sold there. Peasants must bow to the ill of the princes in a socialist state. At least till we get caught 🙂
Well, this Ranger was beat up by thieves. But it made the truck cheap for me.
Sure wish I could get the Ford Super Duty crew cab 4×4 back on the road.
Have run with a couple of recaps but no more. A recap sure made the side of the good truck a mess when it peeled. Had one peel on a car, no damage. On the truck it tore off a fender support, mashed the tip of the exhaust pipe shut, tore up the side panel infront of the tire and behind it. Had to pull part if it out so we could change the tire and drive it home.
ClergyLady: With caps, best thing is to replace them after so many miles, when half the tread is gone. When they used to recap in the US, the tires were good. Since they moved south of the border, the companies stopped caring. niio
That cap that tore up the side of the truck hadn’t been on long. I believe it was a quality problem.
Yeah, when working at a truckstop, I saw a lot of brand new tires come in ripped. Not as bad as a cap, but bad. the shock on the people was interesting, “But, it’s a Firestone!” or some other brand. Darn shame we can’t get tubes anymore. With all the thorns around, tubes filled with green slime would be great. niio
Lol I could definitely use this thing on butchering day so long as no one stands near and I don’t drop it on toes. It sure could either cause or cure a headache. Or amputate a few toes.
I’d have loved to see that claw and rock.
That Grove in the stone is as smooth as glass. Stone lookes more like a lt gray granite. Smooth like a river stone.
Tubes with freen slim would be useful.
Yeah, but where do we get tubes, today?
This past summer Daniel and I found tubes for tractor tires at Tractor Supply. No idea for car or pick up tires.
I tried there. Nothing for cars or trucks. The garage is looking for me. niio
Seems people overlooked something small.
Every tire on your car has a built in RFID chip (for ‘warranty purposes’.
There are and will be more RFID scanners built into overpasses and those nice LED street lights.
Another thing – Walmart has RFID sewn into clothing for ‘inventory control’.
Ya know those pod scanners at the entrance of walmart and other stores supposedly to prevent theft?
They listen for those RFID signals and compile your activities.
Why does any store need those pods for people ENTERING the store?
I can see why for leaving the store, but not entering.
While unconfirmed, I think your shoes might have them built in. If not now, in the near future.

So do the laptop and cell phone batteries!
Linux can help, but TAILS and maybe Kodachi might be a bit better.
Even if you use those, you can still be tracked to some degree.
Being and staying anonymous is very very hard to do.
What I do is leave a trail of ‘bread crumbs’ just FOR others to follow. I control what, when, and etc.
Much like the slight of hand scenario.
I also use a shared email with others to throw nosy one’s off.
Not perfect and by no means a way to thwart the NSA, but it can keep the local cops at bay, courts too.
Google is your ENEMY…
Take the battery out of your cell phone and it will not receive or send.
Can’t remove the battery in the we last two phones.
CL: Ouch. What are they? niio
Mine, the protective cover comes off, and then the battery cover. https://www.wikihow.com/Change-the-Battery-on-a-Samsung-Galaxy
Bill Gates and the elites knew what was going to happen. Just look for Event 201
Preplanned obsolescence of a nation. libs stopped buying gold and went to bit coins, and now, tho, are stuck while chicoms undermine them.
What happened to the Gray Man? that old wolf went sailing, but I hear he’s home in Arizona.
I went thru 3 phones in short order. No more LG because they sell out to anyone. My son opened each up and pointed out a lot of things that shouldn’t be there, and told me to remember why every movie, we saw Bourne break cell phones and replacing them. niio
I think all phones are tracking devices. They ping off of towers. You can figure position by triangulation. If I wanted to disappear like I did at 21. I’d have to do it like I did at 21. Nothing traceable. No phone- didn’t have them in prehistoric times. No credit cards- no buying or selling from the nearest pine tree. No cash either since nothing to buy out in nowhere. Lol. Just walk away into nowhere. Way too hard for this great grandma alone.
If you do know of nowhere…. Today look out for trail cams, Forrest rangers, hunters, shot detectors like cities have, and more.
Play mole. Dig deep, and avoid the prairie dogs.
ClergyLady: Good advice. They can track computers in newer vehicles, as well. Bob was told they were putting the ‘bullet’ in anyone in the military. If close enough, they can pinpoint anyone with the chip.
It rained! Tucson was to get 1.3 inches. No idea how much we got, but it came down hard for quite a while. Smells great outside. I can’t stop from going out and enjoying it. niio
Lucky you getting rain. Just hot and gray with periodic winds. I’d go stand in it if it rained.
So far, they expect rain thru the 23rd. Hope it lasts till Christmas. niio
7/14 rain finally. Chances of rain for a few days. Should I do a rain dance to encourage it?
I’ve been close to it, after all, it was customary to dance before the Lord 🙂 niio
I left a reply a year ago and I still think about the ‘speech’, given by ‘V’ in the movie I mentioned. I think it’s one of the best speeches on why we’ve lost many of our rights.
This article has some good advice, but just remember…if you ‘really’ want to ‘drop-out’, ‘get off the grid’ and become ‘almost’ untraceable…you have to make some very hard decisions. You basically have to set up a new life, move far away from your current location, cut ‘all’ ties with friends and in many cases family. You must drop ‘all’ social media accounts and stay off line with computers and ‘smart phones’ unless you are using a ‘burner’. Never call people from your ‘old life’ on a burner, either. Everything you buy must be in cash, etc. and never order anything online. A note on that…If you order ammunition or related products online…you ‘are’ on a ‘list’ of some sort. Look up ‘the 72 reasons you might be on a government watch-list’.
The whole point is…if you want to become as ‘untraceable’ as you can…you’ve got to be willing to make the changes and stick to them and never go back to your ‘old life’. It can be a tough row to plow.
You are right. I completely agree.with.every single thing you said.
a lot of people are dying, many of them teens and 20s. All have one thing in common, they got the shots.
Women pregnant when getting the shots are birthing children with defects. Now, gates has a vaccine to cure polio infecting people from his last polio vaccine. And the world of woke goes ’round and ’round and then the tubes. niio
