The year 2026 is fast approaching, and with it comes a storm of challenges that most Americans refuse to see. After 25 years of studying global conflicts, domestic vulnerabilities, and survival, I’ve learned one thing: the world doesn’t wait for the unprepared.
What keeps me awake at night is what I see unfolding across the globe and right here at home. The threats are real, and they’re closer than most think.
From rising tensions with foreign powers to the fragility of our own infrastructure, America is facing multiple fronts of danger. Too many citizens assume that disaster only happens “somewhere else.” But in 2026, complacency will be a luxury the unprepared cannot afford.
China and the Taiwan Flashpoint
One of the biggest threats in 2026 is a potential conflict between China and Taiwan. China has invested heavily in modernizing its military, developing advanced missile systems, stealth aircraft, and cyber capabilities aimed at challenging U.S. operations in the region.
While the United States retains significant military advantages, these developments could complicate U.S. responses and increase the risks of escalation in a crisis.
If tensions over Taiwan escalate, the U.S. could be dragged into a confrontation in the Pacific. A blockade or accidental skirmish could disrupt global trade overnight, sending prices for food, fuel, and consumer goods soaring.
The ripple effects would hit every American household. Ports could be shut down, supply chains frozen, and cities left scrambling for basic necessities.
👉 This is What Will Ultimately Collapse the US Economy
Even without a direct conflict, China’s cyber capabilities remain a persistent threat. Hackers could target critical infrastructure – power grids, water systems, hospitals, and banks, leaving millions of Americans without access to essential services for days or even weeks.
Russia and the Looming Cyber
Russia continues to test the limits of global patience. While much of the focus has been on Ukraine, 2026 could see them escalate in ways that directly impact the U.S. and its allies. Beyond conventional warfare, their cyber arsenal is growing, capable of targeting everything from Wall Street to local hospitals.
A coordinated cyberattack could shut down power in major cities, disrupt banking systems, and cripple communications. Imagine New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago without electricity, water, or fuel for a week. Panic would spread faster than relief efforts could respond.
Military posturing in Eastern Europe could escalate to a larger confrontation, drawing NATO – and by extension, the U.S.- into a conflict that is sudden and devastating.
We must consider not just overseas effects, but also domestic fallout: shortages, social unrest, and the real possibility that government aid could be delayed or insufficient.
This is how you can stay off the government’s radar:
Natural Disasters That Could Compound Everything
Even without man-made crises, nature doesn’t wait. 2026 could bring catastrophic natural disasters that overwhelm local and federal response.
Wildfires in the West are intensifying, and hotter, drier summers will make them more destructive. Evacuations may come suddenly, and resources for displaced citizens could be limited.
Hurricanes along the East Coast are stronger each year, threatening flooding and destruction on a scale that could disrupt multiple states simultaneously.

Earthquakes along major fault lines, such as California and Alaska, remain a persistent threat. Entire communities could be isolated, with roads destroyed and emergency services delayed. Water, food, and fuel reserves could become life-or-death necessities.
Even weather events that seem minor, like localized flooding or ice storms, could compound other crises. Combined with economic or social disruptions, the result could be chaos on a scale most Americans have never experienced.
Domestic Vulnerabilities No One Talks About
America faces crises at home that are just as dangerous as foreign threats. Our infrastructure is aging, dependence on technology is absolute, and social cohesion is fraying.
Cyberattacks on banks, hospitals, and government systems could plunge cities into chaos. A blackout in a major metropolitan area wouldn’t last hours – it could stretch for days, leaving millions without supplies and medical care.
Economic instability is another looming threat. Inflation, a fragile stock market, and the national debt mean that any global disruption – war, natural disaster, or cyberattack – could trigger domestic collapse.
Americans could suddenly find themselves unable to access basic goods or services, forcing them to rely on stored supplies or community support networks.
Watch this video to find out how this scenario will evolve in 2026:
Social unrest is a growing concern. Scarcity, political division, or economic shocks could turn communities hostile. Cities are particularly vulnerable, where panic spreads faster and resources run out first. Those without a plan for protection or self-reliance will quickly be left behind.
Why Iran Remains an EMP Concern
While Iran does not have a confirmed operational nuclear weapon, it has spent decades investing in missile technology and electronic warfare capabilities. These areas are consistently cited in U.S. defense assessments as relevant to high-altitude and electronic disruption threats.
A large-scale EMP affecting the United States would require a nuclear detonation at high altitude, an act that would be unmistakable and escalatory. However, concern persists because EMP effects do not require targeting cities directly, and even a limited or miscalculated event could produce widespread disruption to power, communications, and electronics. The issue is not whether such an event is likely, but whether the U.S. population is ready if deterrence fails or a crisis spirals unexpectedly.
👉 You Probably Won’t Survive An EMP Without This
Iran’s long-standing strategy emphasizes asymmetric pressure and unconventional tools designed to offset U.S. military superiority. While most attention focuses on cyberattacks and proxy conflicts, EMP remains part of the broader discussion because it represents a way modern societies can be disrupted without traditional battlefield engagement.
The Rise of Organized Crime and Urban Breakdown
One of the most dangerous threats brewing inside America is the growing wave of organized crime and collapsing law enforcement in major cities. As budgets shrink and response times drag into hours, criminal networks are expanding faster than anyone wants to admit.
In 2026, this could reach a breaking point. Cities such as Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, and Los Angeles, already struggling with theft, gang activity, and drug violence, may face a level of lawlessness we haven’t seen in decades. Some neighborhoods could effectively become “no-go zones,” where police presence is minimal and criminals operate freely.
But the biggest fear is organized crime. Groups are becoming more strategic, using encrypted apps, drones, stolen vehicles, and even basic cyber tools to overwhelm local systems. A surge in carjackings, home invasions, and organized retail raids isn’t just a possibility – it’s already happening in pockets across the country, and 2026 could magnify it.
For everyday Americans, this means that simple routines, such as grocery trips, commuting, filling up at night, could become risky. Supply disruptions or economic shocks could amplify desperation, pushing crime from big cities into suburbs and rural areas.
If you think you’re safe because you live outside a major metro, the truth is no one is safe. When cities crack, criminals look outward for easier targets. That’s why you need to make sure you get your anti-looter kit and learn the best tactics to defend your home from criminals roaming all over USA.
The Evolution of the Dollar
Over the past several decades, the U.S. dollar has steadily lost purchasing power due to inflation and long-term fiscal and monetary policy choices. What a single income could support in previous generations now often requires two or more earners. That’s not because Americans are less productive, but because essential costs such as housing, healthcare, education, and energy have risen faster than wages. This erosion is gradual rather than dramatic, which makes it easier to ignore and harder to escape.
Related: Death of the Dollar
One of the most significant shifts in the dollar’s evolution has been the move away from hard backing toward a confidence-based system. Since the U.S. left the gold standard, the dollar has derived its value primarily from trust in the federal government, global demand, and the debt markets that support it. This framework has allowed flexibility and economic growth, but it has also enabled historically high levels of national debt and monetary expansion.
Trillions of dollars introduced into the financial system do not vanish without effect. Over time, they tend to contribute to higher consumer prices, asset inflation, and structural instability that disproportionately affects everyday households. While the dollar remains the world’s dominant reserve currency, its position is no longer unchallenged. Some nations now conduct trade outside the dollar system, and central banks increasingly… Read more here.
The Changes You Need to Make in 2026
Fear is only useful if it forces you to act beyond comfort. But mind you, 2026 isn’t going to be about minor inconveniences, because it could be the year when power grids fail, communications vanish, and law enforcement can’t respond.
You need to be ready for situations no one is talking about, where the systems you rely on every day simply collapse. If you think your pantry or home security is enough, you’re already behind.
Here’s a VIDEO that will show you exactly what you need to do to step up your survival strategy:
Least but not last, communications will be the lifeline you can’t afford to lose, especially when cell towers go dark. That’s why you need your own off-grid system, built on secure, private devices that don’t depend on the internet or corporate networks to function. And when it comes to power, you must stop depending on a fragile power grid that fails at the first sign of stress.
Final Thoughts
The coming year is likely to bring continued challenges. Ongoing international tensions, cyber risks, energy disruptions, social strain, and natural disasters may overlap in ways that test communities and infrastructure. People who dismiss these risks may find themselves unprepared, while those who plan ahead will be better positioned to adapt.
Thoughtful preparation and steady attention to practical risks remain effective ways to support your family and community. Whatever 2026 brings, taking reasonable steps now can make difficult situations easier to manage.

How about the illegals that are Muslims and those Somalia, crap that will take over America.
No need to talk about “the real threat” that is “here” in your naborhood and city’s…
These demon people that everyone is scared to talk about, if we don’t talk about this that is here already, then what is prepping, survival for.
We just bow down to them and give up. You might
HELL NO NEVER…
These demon people are ready to take over and “kill everyone that does not assimilate to Muslim”.
Already they are saying to put a bullet in there head that do not go there way.
This is “the real threat to us right now”.
The demarats and weak people are all for it. (Sharia Law.)
My worrie in 2026. Is that we won’t talk more on how to protect our selfs from this EVIL PEOPLE that want “you” to follow them, “OR you DIE”…
But I guess that we need to not worrie about what everyone is so SCARED to talk about.

Better think what you will do to stop the people coming in to Kill you and your family’s.
Better to die in the name of Jesus then to bow to evil that surely will be in HELL.

They say now in our streets, death to America.
We do nothing, remember the 2nd amendment, it just wasn’t for our own government, it was to protect our American beliefs and OUR way of life…
I see this in almost everyone.
Hosea 4: 6
For my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge: because thou has rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me, seeing thou has forgotten the law of thy GOD, I will also forget thy children.
Isaiah 5:13
Therefore my people are going into captivity, because they have no knowledge; and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.

Yes, I thoughly agree with you. Islam has a recorded 1400 year history of killing or enslaving anyone (infidels) who does not submit to the will of Allah. Anyone not familiar with this history should watch the videos on YouTube and read the books by Raymond Ibrahim. His extensive research is very easy to understand. We can see that Islam has now been weaponized to destroy the cultures of Europe so that those countries can be easily assimilated into the NWO without any real resistance. I suspect that once Islam has served its purpose in Europe and the UK it too will be eliminated — much like how the Red Guard was eliminated in Maoist China once it had served its purpose of subduing the country and then no longer needed for the next step, the Cultural Revolution. History is a great teacher — no wonder schools have scrapped it.
I see division between people as a major threat. For most Americans, they tend to be a live and let society. As long as it doesn’t affect me mine, then we tend towards ourselves. But fringe elements that have always been in the background have been brought in closer. Maybe its they have gotten bolder or its something happening that drives the center towards the fringe. We need to stay situationally aware of what is going on around us and not retreat towards the fringe. Because when we are honest with ourselves, we really liked where we were otherwise we would have been fringe a long time ago. While sometimes we like the change, remember that the fringe probably doesn’t have the exact same priorities that you had in the center. So be aware.
In my area I am reading looters in kayak’s already looting farmers in our rural area’s from the record flooding of the Skagit River…..but i guess they were caught….and probably released ….dumb.*** democrat state .

Howdy from an undisclosed location high in the desert swamp,
Reading this article and the comments I have this advice. While you are rotating out your older stores and replacing with newer, remember why you are doing this. Can these things predicted really happen?
They already have in many ways. We fought a war for independence. We fought it again to stay independent. Economy collapses under President Jackson. War with Mexico twice. Lincoln orders an all at the same time execution of 38 Indian men in December 1862. WWI, The Depression. WWII, Korea, Vietnam.
Each one of these events affected the common people directly. Then we move on.
Next!
Oh, that won’t happen.
I have faith my country won’t do that. These are quotes I have heard recently.
The communist infiltration of the 50’s. The hippie generation. 9-11 is a perfect example of mass amnesia. Katrina and martial law. People losing everything and the mayhem. People think it won’t happen?? It already has and been swept aside. No? What did NYC just do? How many people do you know stop and considered what Thanksgiving is supposed to be? How many read President Washingtons Thanksgiving speech? Now comes the feeding frenzy of Christmas buying and how it affects the economy while totally ignoring the reason is a birthday celebration. How many will actually stop to read the story in Luke?
I do my sign off not so much to be a check off list. Each one has a severe repercussion associated with it.
A passage you may want to read when you get a chance. 1Peter 1:6-7.
Look at just the US history. Bad events have happened. With mobility and electronic mind-numbing, bad events will be on steroids. Doom and gloom? No, just looking at reality.

Remember Pearl Harbor
Remember 9/11

Outer Spice,
The flooding in Washington is a major disaster. I lived there most of my life and bailed out in 98′. I’ll be 80 next year and never in all that time did flooding have such an effect and impact on the area. There was always minor flooding each spring with the snow melt and run off. But never the disastrous situation that now affects the area. My brother still lives in West Seattle, and I can’t get him to get the hell out. With the current political atmosphere, collapsing of major businesses, theft, crime and social breakdown, things are only going to get worse. I saw these changes coming to Seattle 26 years ago and it is on the slippery slope to a disastrous collapse.
James Gregg,
Your observations are spot on. The complacency and disregard for the rule of law, law enforcement, responsibility and the general lack of respect began in the late 60’s and has continued through the lack of educational awareness and the teachings of historical information in our school systems. In the 50’s and 60’s only one income was needed to have a fairly comfortable living. That is no longer the case. Mediocre educational curriculum and the dumbing down of much of the younger generations has unfortunately gotten society to where it is today. Lack of respect for individuals, the law and belief that they are living in an entitlement society. That socialist belief is only growing by leaps and bounds.
Chaplain Dan,
In the high desert swamp. Your evaluation of historical data is true, to the point and well thought out. The problem with the teachings of the younger generations is that they aren’t taught the reasons that all of these issues occurred and their relevance to issues today. How history can and will repeat itself without the education and knowledge of the past. That kind of educational information did not fit the criteria for the indoctrination of our youth.
Society is breaking down from the inside. Socialist policies are taking hold. Look at the newly elected Mayors of NYC and Seattle and the Governors of Washington, Oregon and California. Sanctuary cities and states across the country only contribute to the lack of respect or total disregard for the rule of law and the Constitution of the United States. Federal laws were written for the good of the nation and as a guide for the welfare and safety of the general public, not to be disregarded.
Today many people are thanking Vet’s for their service. Some are very sincere and relates to their own families, but for others it feels like lip service to make them feel good. For us Vietnam vets, nothing can ever replace or erase the hurt, disrespect and violent overtures we received after returning home for lawfully and honorably serving our country.
I humbly thank you all for your observations and incites.
Agreed. We left Puget Sound area decades ago, my only regret is in not leaving the State. In the Columbia River Gorge now. It must be the scenery’s hold on me. Nine little acres that provides whatever we plant, with fruit and nut trees and enough wind to help harvest firewood. We cut mostly whatever the wind pushes over and dead trees in between that. I keep my seed stocks rotated and large in case my family shows up after a socially induced donnybrook. This is why we have acreage, to take care of our children in a dog eat dog world.
There’s a lot of financial folks speculating another gold bullion confiscation and reevaluation akin to what took place in ’33. It would not surprise me one little bit to see that take place.
Personally, natural disasters are what I have concentrated on, but what bothers me mostly is man made disasters, mother nature corrects but isn’t vengeful, vindictive and conniving like man is. Too old and beat up to scoot and shoot anymore so a war event will be whatever unfolds and I’ll do my best; I still know “stuff”. I appreciate all of the comments, dialogue presents another view and makes us think.
My biggest concern for the coming year is the possibility that the US loses its preferred currency status. What with BRICS growing and Mexico and Canada putting distance between us and them, Also, is Europe finding alternate suppliers of crude oil. There’s also China getting more of its supply of soybeans from Brazil. Because of all this, we as individuals need to produce more of our own food and energy.
Let’s hope I am wrong.
Indeed.
None of you are wrong. Americans are still walking on egg shells with all the hajis and the skinnys. How many Patel neighbors do I need to have buying all the businesses and turning them to garbage? I am glad to see that there are more Americans saying hell no, not on my watch, but we need more. Many feel that way but don’t want to be labeled as racist or phobic. You know what, label me whatever you want. I served my country and unfortunately theirs too, and too much time overseas for what? We tried to clean your filthy countries up, now you want to bring your filth here. Screw you guuuys…I’m Goin Home.
I believe it’s time to re-read Matthew chapter 24 another couple of times.
All kinds of stuff will HTF because it must happen, but we are literally not to be troubled.
Follow that up with searching out all the times we are told “fear not” or “be not afraid” or something similar – It’s a lot!
The biblically born-again are not given the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
I know people who constantly look for something else to worry about, to be afraid of – just like Chicken Little. They spend life in a permanently fearful state – literally they move from a few healthy fears some of the time to being consumed by full-time unhealthy fears.
Please prep responsibly –
My fear is not that I will live or die in 2026, but that Matthew 24:24 will affect me in unimaginable ways. With the rise of AI, our government, media, and social influencers, I pray that people will remain faithful to their beliefs (no matter right or wrong) and stop chasing after the new shiny distraction put forth. Chaos will always be the chosen weapon, so the fewer people that join the fray, the better off the rest of us will be.
War is coming and we can’t stop it. 3I-Atlas will be used. 5G and 6G will be used. All of the nasty devices developed by man will be used. I only hope that “the elite” that start the wars will suffer more than the people that just want to survive.
Chap Dan, I think you mean, the ONGOING Communist invasion that STARTED back in the ’50s
Does anyone understand whats happened in England in the last 20 years.
Understand what happened in Sweeden ? etc etc etc
They have many footholds in the US right NOW, near Binghampton NY, Dearborn MI, areas in NYC, several others. Got knocked down in Tx, for now.
Today, Aussies. 40 yrs ago, they had gun rights, and a closed society that kept out world problems. Today, its 40 yrs of liberals importing problems AND removing the good peoples ability to fight back. As for the Aussies, YOU DID THIS TO YOURSELVES !
if you are scratching your head, do your homework.
If you already KNOW, then you were warned already.
The problem, your not allowed to speak truth. Thats why I just told you where to START looking, learning. All Disease moves in a predictable manner.
Hi Kre, I’m an Aussie and while I agree with most of what you have written, Aussies did not do this to themselves. The truth is, like in most countries, we do not have a voice — our government totally disregards its people and simply do what they are told by “the powers that be”, whoever they are.
(I personally suspect it is the Vatican wanting its empire back after loosing it to the Enlightenment a few hundred years ago, and are operating behind the scenes in secret and non-secret societies and through academia, banks and investment firms.)
We have a two party system, with a few minor ones, that create the illusion of choice. Some decades ago we had a new party that became very popular called One Nation. It was quickly attacked by the media and bureaucrats and its leader, Pauline Hanson, locked up in jail. Pauline and her party survived, and they are among the only ones speaking truth in parliament, but the earlier, and current, attacks and lack of media coverage served their purpose. When they get to speak in parliament it is effectively to an empty room.
We also had a fellow called Peter Garrett, lead singer in the band Midnight Oil, get a seat in parliament. Brilliant and highly educated, he was given a minor portfolio and shoved in a corner somewhere, and apart from an occasion cameo, was largely ignored by the media and not given a voice. I know of many people who placed a lot of hope in him, but even he was unable to break through what would be the Aussie equivalent of your ideological swamp, or in our case, sewer.
Our governments are rigged. And as Klaus Schwab, once head of the WEF, said at a World Government Summitt meeting some years back regarding his Young Global Leaders graduates, which he’s been running for over three decades: “they have penetrated the governments”. Most of the Presidents and Prime Ministers of countries throughout the covid period were, and some still are, Young Global Leaders. Our governments are penetrated by what are effectively Fifth Columnists, and we need to be very aware of that.
Being a prepper, you shouldn’t have to worry, or are you just trying to scare those that are not prepping?
