Tis the season. You know the one. The one where communal bugs make their way from one household to the next, spreading snotty noses and misery.  Ah, what fun it is…not!

It’s a great idea to give your health a little more attention during the winter months. A hot, steamy bowl of penicillin soup can be just what your body needs to help battle those pesky germs.

Sometimes called antibiotic soup, natural penicillin, or Mother Nature’s penicillin, many cultures have used and staked claim on this medicinal culinary masterpiece. It’s actually kind of funny to see just how many different cultures have their own unique interpretations of it.

But most of us will humbly know it as homemade chicken soup! However, this is no ordinary chicken soup. This antibiotic chicken soup recipe is packed with enough vitamins and minerals to not only cure a cold but maybe even keep you from catching one to begin with! In this version, we take a little extra time to make it extra special.

Instead of using traditional chicken stock, we opt for a mineral and collagen-rich bone broth. It adds a depth of flavor and a nourishing virtue to the soup. This version is rich, flavorful, and brothy with a hint of heft from the turmeric and black pepper.

Related: How To Make Turmeric Powder For Treating Inflammation When SHTF

How to Make Penicillin SoupBone broth is superior to chicken broth from a nutrition standpoint. Its prized for its high protein content, collagen, and electrolytes, as well as a variety of vitamins.

It contains a lot more of these nutrients compared to chicken broth. The chicken broth will work, but it won’t have the same concentration of nutrients.

Penicillin vs. Antibiotic Chicken Soup

Penicillin works by destroying germs within the body and preventing their spread. The issue with penicillin is that it is an antibiotic, which means that it can cause both antibiotic resistance and altered forms of these bacteria.

Taking antibiotics comes along with the risk of dampening your body’s natural immune responses and should only be used when necessary. You’re much better off supporting the body’s natural immune process whenever possible.

Penicillin soup is a great alternative to antibiotics, and the best part… it’s food! In other words, anyone is able to eat it and enjoy the benefits.

For this recipe, I chose herbs that display similar medicinal attributes to antibiotics.

⇒ Antibiotic Herbs and Plants to Grow in Your Backyard Before SHTF

For example:

Thyme – Studies demonstrate that thyme is one of the best herbs for its antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.

Black Pepper – It is both anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.  It’s also great for helping other nutrients absorb and for reliving pain, cough and congestion.

Sage – It is a potent natural antibacterial and antiviral agent even against stronger microbial strains.  It’s also anti-inflammatory and antioxidant rich.

Turmeric – It is a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and pain reliever.

Garlic – It is super antimicrobial even against strong viruses and bacteria like strep, staph, and e. coli and is also an antitoxin.

Some of the vegetables we will be using have vitamins that can assist the body in repair, like the beta carotene in carrots and specific salts in celery that can help you stay hydrated. Celery is also antimicrobial.

The first step in this version of antibiotic soup is to make bone broth. Bone broth takes some time, but it’s easy to make.

How to Make Bone Broth

  1. Set the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Add the chicken to a Dutch oven and sprinkle with sea salt.
  3. Let it cook in the Dutch over until the skin and meat begin pulling away from the bone (about 3 hours.)
  4. Take the chicken out of the oven and let it cool completely. How to Make Penicillin Soup
  5. Remove all of the meat from the chicken and store it for when you are ready to make soup.
  6. Place the bones along with ¼ cup of apple cider vinegar into a crock pot and fill with water.
  7. Cook on high anywhere from 3 hours to 3 days. I cook until the bones easily crunch between my fingers (about 3 days) and then use them to add to animal feed. Make sure you watch and add water if it gets too low.

Since making bone broth takes a few hours at least, it’s best if you can it using this recipe. This way, it will last you for at least a few years.

Homemade Penicillin Soup Recipe

For this recipe you will need:

  • 8 cups of bone broth
  • 2 cups of cooked chicken diced into bite-size pieces
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 stalks of celery, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 cup of protein-rich noodles
  • 1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic (about 5-6 cloves)
  • ¼ teaspoon of ground dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 4 teaspoons of mineral sea salt

How to Make Penicillin Soup

Step 1. Add the carrots, celery, and onions to a medium-sized pot. Add enough bone broth to cover the vegetables completely and cook on medium heat until it reaches a simmer. Then, turn your heat down to medium-low and let it simmer.

Step 2. Add the rosemary, thyme, garlic, salt, black pepper, and rosemary. Continue to simmer until the vegetables become soft- about 30 minutes. How to Make Penicillin Soup

Step 3. Add the noodles and the turmeric and cook for 10–15 minutes or until done. How to Make Penicillin Soup

Step 4. Add the already-cooked chicken. Remove from heat and sit for 5–10 minutes before scooping into bowls. How to Make Penicillin Soup

If you want to give your soup a little extra nutritional punch, try adding adaptogenic mushroom powders if you have them on hand.

Add a scoop of reishi, chaga, or even turkey tail mushroom powder to your soup any time during the cooking process.

Adaptogens are fantastic for the immune system, in addition to helping our bodies restore balance and manage stress.

I read the ingredients and it doesn’t actually have any pharmaceutical ingredients so it might actually be a good replacement for you, if you are allergic to penicillin. Are you allergic to any of the listed ingredients? The soup is all natural

People think using herbs for medicine is safer but not really. Processed big pharma is generally hazardous to our health. AMA doctors are said to be the only ones to “cure” a disease. Back in early America herbalist were the common source to heal their patients.
COVID vaccines are the snake oil salesmen of our time period.

Even the Alchemist of ancient times made lethal concoctions with ingredients like mercury added to their cures. Because of technology back then was a guess or trial and error process. That is why big pharma does testing trials.
The COVID and 6 foot spacing and mask wearing was part of the COVID PLANDEMIC to see what they could and will again get away with. The WWII Nazi’s exterminated had those ideas back then but did not have the technology we have now to do real depopulation of the United Nations agendas.

A friend sent an email of a lady who found out that processed shredded cheese had a prescription drug used for mold prevention.
Which leads to, do we know what is being used in our current foods to keep those items from spoiling?
Even organic foods growing next to standard crop farms that use chemical sprays drift into organic crops or through groundwater.

Which leads to the survival processed foods advertised, foods last up to 25-30 years. What is the process and are there chemicals added to preserve?
We know grocery store food items have some type of processed chemicals added to keep food from spoiling. What about these survival foods too?
If we been looking at the ingredient labels on food products it usual says but there are hidden ingredients not mentioned as proprietary process.
Some labels do say GMO or Non-GMO, lately the manufactures of processed foods have been sneaking in made with “bioengineered ingredients” printed in very small print. Sometimes you need a pocket magnifying glass to read it.
So careful what you buy and eat anymore, do your own research on processed food from all manufactures of food items.

I understand what you are saying and not trying to make this argumentative but, if you are using 25 year survival food, what alternative do you have if it is in the fan? If you are just trying to keep you and others alive until a garden can grow or you can kill a deer, hog, squirrels.., are you going to say no? Just a thought.
Sometimes you gotta do what ya gotta do..

Chicken noodle soup last century we called it “Jewish Penicillin Soup,” that soup does work when we are starting to get under the weather. A good comfort food on chilly days and nights.
Regular food items can have allergic reactions in people, not everyday but maybe during certain time periods according to the FOUR Climate Seasons.
In herbal, Chinese medicine and so on plants have seasonal characteristics when growing. Using herbs at different stages of growth produce certain health benefits. Elderberry is safe after cooking to process for consumption but not good to eat in raw form.
The study of herbalist shows what can and can’t be done with raw or processed herbs. Different properties can be had using herbs in raw or heated, dry forms of the same plant parts used. It is fascinating what can be done with herbs.
The high to low forms of healing would be; Spiritual, Chi energy, food as medicine, Herbs, big pharma and finally surgery. All forms have a purpose in the healthcare healing arts.
Union healthcare worker unions have no place in medicine. Workers go on strike an cause delays in healthcare for legal American citizens. The Veterans Administration take part of the vet’s doctors away to care for illegal non-citizens healthcare, see a problem?
A waste of American taxpayer’s dollars being diverted, what happened to America first?

It’s a fancy chicken noodle soup dude. The closest thing to medicine is the ACV, and if you can eat sweet and sour Chinese chicken, you eat ACV. I’m thinking the author did not wish to use the “J” word, as in “J”ish Penicillin, as that is a nickname for any chicken soup this time of the year. You could buy the bone broth and use canned chicken if you don’t wish to make your own. If not into noodles due to gluten, I’d imagine a swap for cooked brown rice would be okay.

Then, maybe consider using a starch that you are not allergic to and can eat? Potatoes, turnip, yams? They are now making “noodles” out of everything from chickpeas to kelp.

What do you normally eat as a replacement for things that you may be allergic to? Add that. And you are allergic to everything that could act as a replacement… Just leave it out completey.

There is no actual penicillin in this soup. It is simply a healthy all natural soup. The only real difference between this and a “regular” chicken noodle soup is that this one is using bone broth. Most people did this before it was just easier to buy canned soups or pre-made broth or bullion. I’m guessing that some people just read the article title and not the article.

Check out Dr. Bob Beck’s 4 Protocols to add to our healthcare. That big govt agencies and mainstream healthcare don’t want us to know. Beck’s protocols are a good addition to your healthcare regime than depend on the Dr. Fauci healthcare that terminated a lot of Americans and people world wide. The Facility in Wuhan, China and the UN WHO, CDC COVID guidelines were not accurate, many coverups involved in Biowarfare (BW), no one held accountable.
GOD gave us the plants and animals to consume, but not adulterated foods as our food chains are being manipulated in today’s woke world of Subversion.

I really doubt “God” wants us to use “wrist pulsing to revitalize the blood”, “pulsed magnetic fields” for lymph node electrification, colloidal silver and ozonated water. This is the same stuff I’ve seen recommended in the last 30 years from different “internet doctors”.

Curious? Is there a canning recipe for this that could actually last for many, may years in case of an event such as when the SHTF?

This recipe is great but I’m concerned about how long it would last in the fridge or freezer. When the SHTF most won’t have power so canning would be an excellent choice.

Use a rocket stove, wood burning cooking since electric stoves will be useless or electricity use will be controlled. Propane will become in short supply in Bidenomics land by Demoncratic elitist in charge.
Try to dehydrate the the soup as an alternate method.

The only ingredient you would need to leave out if you want to can this soup is the noodles. Noodles cannot be safely pressure canned. So if you make this without the noodles, you should be fine pressure canning it to last for a few+ years.

ok, all that is just homemade chicken soup, nothing new.
    Just due to my preferences,
    1. I would leave the celery in bigger, but slashed pieces, as I don’t like it cooked.
    2. the noodles shouldn’t be canned with the rest if you want al-dente` and not mushy pasta or if you do can, I’d switch to rice it holds up better.
It’s all in the warm, salty liquid to help with congestion and hydration and keeping/getting nutrition into a struggling sick body.
All in all, it’s helped for a very long time why, mess with success?

Very true – it is a basic homemade chicken soup recipe. Butt… One of the larger problems that I see in my travels and talking to people is that they don’t understand the difference between chicken stock and bone broth.

They think they are making bone broth, but they are really just making soup stock… Huge difference.

Antibiotics (penicillin) are used to kill bacteria. The runny noses, flu, etc. are caused by viruses. Antibiotics do nothing against viruses. Kind of a strange name for a soup IMO, and a little misleading. Like telling someone to use a shovel to change a tire on a car. Ivermectin on the other hand does fight viruses. But, awesome recipe nonetheless and i will definitely be cooking this! Thank you!

Adding Oregano, which is used for antibiotic properties and added to organic chicken farms is a good idea. Gives it an extra “medicinal punch”.
There are MANY foods that have antibiotic/viral properties.
    Read 2 books:
    Herbal Antivirals by Buhner

I keep these books handy for SHTF scenario.
