If What They Say About FEMA is True – Do THIS Immediately!

When SHTF, you already know you won’t have many friends left. You’ll most likely be on your own. Don’t imagine you’ll be able to count on neighbors or other people to come to your aid. Even less so on, you guessed it, FEMA. No matter how many times they tell you “FEMA is here to help”, the system isn’t built with your well-being in mind. Lately, more and more signs indicate that the agency isn’t doing too well. In fact, many say FEMA might be on the chopping block. At first, that sounds like a win, but it could trigger a wave of new threats you’re not ready for.

What Is FEMA About to Be Replaced By?

It’s true that FEMA never had your back. However, we have to admit that its presence kept worse things at bay. If it disappears, you’ll be facing threats you haven’t even imagined yet. To understand what you really need to prepare for in a post-FEMA world, here are the immediate, most likely consequences:

1. The States Would Take Over

This does sound good, I’ll give you that. Orders would come from leaders you trust. More or less. On the other hand, that ‘local control’ might cost you more in taxes, more in freedoms, and leave you with fewer services when you need them most.

2. Government Overreach Would Skyrocket

The evil you know is better than the one you don’t. FEMA may be bad, but what if it’s replaced by other tough militarized agencies operating under emergency powers? Imagine even more surveillance, faster crackdowns, and harsher penalties. I’m not saying it’s guaranteed – but can you afford to bet against it?

3. The Unprepared Will Panic Faster

How many Americans are ready for a major crisis? Not that many. Millions are counting on FEMA to show up and save them when SHTF. If that safety net vanishes overnight, they’ll be lost and confused. And they’ll come looking for answers… and supplies. Your home would become their target.

Panicked crowd

Even if only one of these threats comes true, you’re already in serious trouble. But the chance that all of them hit at once? That’s a nightmare scenario. As always, though, there are ways to prepare. Let’s break it down step-by-step so you can stay ahead.

What If the States Take Over?

If your state takes over, expect them to squeeze every last cent out of you – and call it ‘help’. Even if you think you’re doing fine financially, ask yourself: what happens if taxes go up again? Inflation is already eating away at your savings, and prices are rising every day. So how do you get ready?

Simple: Think long-term. Get back to basics. If money disappears, you’ll need to rely on what you already have. You either build your stockpile now – or wish you had when shelves go empty.

Related: 9 Items To Stock Up On Before Hyperinflation Hits

Plan based on your real needs, and those of your close family. Food comes first, but you’ll need plenty more to face what’s coming.

It’s All About Food, Water, and Medical Supplies

Hope won’t get you through a crisis. A backup plan will. You need to prep like your life depends on it – because one day soon, it will. Think about the worst-case scenario and act accordingly.

I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what happens if I lose my income or if society collapses financially. Frankly, it’s quite simple: I need to survive without money. Without relying on the system.

So I made a checklist that I recommend you use too, in order to be prepared for the worst-case scenario. Here’s what you need in terms of water, food, and medical solutions:

Learn to Grow Your Own Food

Becoming self-sufficient is crucial when it comes to major crises. Food is the main element you must be able to produce on your own property. Stock up, but also make sure you become capable of growing fruits and vegetables in your garden, and raising animals. Study this book, as well as The Lost Ways 2, where you’ll find superfood recipes that can get you out of a lot of trouble.

Secure Your Water Supply

When SHTF, even if you have all the money in the world, you might not find what you need. And if you can’t find water after the grid goes down, well… It’s kind of over for you, isn’t it? Not if you turn to unconventional solutions. For example, this backpack-sized water generator can produce no less than 40 gallons of water per day. The device is innovative because it doesn’t require any other resource. It pulls water out of thin air!

Get a “Health Insurance” Plan (It’s Not What You Think)

No one will bring you food and water when SHTF, so you can be sure no one will care about your health either. Not even some newly created government agency. So what should you do? Simple: think about first aid solutions and remedies that you can store or make yourself. I chose to keep two resources close at hand that I consider vital.

  • This kit that gives you the knowledge and all the resources you need to grow a generous garden of medicinal plants you can always rely on. If you buy it, you’ll get a booklet that includes recipes and treatment protocols using these plants.
  • A practical guide that taught me, among many other interesting stuff, how to buy the 4 essential antibiotics without a prescription.

Bottom line: If you’re prepping for a future where money goes away, start with the basics: food, water, and medical supplies. But there are other things you’ll also need to deal with, and I’ll be diving into those next.

What if The New Forces Will Be Even More Brutal?

If the fears many have about the rising powers of a new emergency agency turn out to be true, you gotta get your priorities straight. Of course, food, water, and medicine should still top the list. But now, security is becoming just as critical.

In crisis situations, FEMA agents already have the power to confiscate and redistribute your supplies. That’s bad enough. But here’s the uncomfortable truth… If FEMA goes down, don’t expect peace. Expect something worse. The new guys in charge will most likely come harder, faster, and with fewer rules.

The new powers could be authorized to confiscate your weapons without due process, especially in zones labeled “emergency areas”. They might also be able to conduct raids under full-blown martial law, and cut you off from your off-grid resources – wells, rainwater, even solar power.

How to Avoid Becoming a Target in Their Raids

So How Can You Secure Your Property?

If you haven’t already done this, it’s time to rethink how you secure your home and land. Learn how – and more importantly, where – to hide your stockpiles. Remember that this is about survival, so you can’t be too cautious.

Imagine facing agents who don’t care about your rights. Just orders to strip you of everything. Leave you with nothing. Exposed and vulnerable. With that reality in mind, you cannot afford to leave anything to chance.

The ones coming for your supplies? They’re trained, equipped, and ruthless. This won’t be a game. It’ll be a tactical, calculated assault – and your home might be their next target. That’s why you need to be ready. Fight fire with fire.

I highly recommend you learn a few things about securing your property from Joel Lambert, a former Navy SEAL with years of experience in the harshest survival conditions.

In A Navy SEAL’s Bug-In Guide, you’ll uncover essential chapters that could make the difference between being overrun or staying protected:

  • What you must do first if martial law is declared
  • The smartest tactics to outfox FEMA
  • How to stay off the government’s radar altogether

These are not just theoretical ideas. They’re hard-earned insights from someone who knows how to outmaneuver and outlast elite-level threats. If you truly understand and apply them, you can build a solid defense plan, one that works whether you’re dealing with FEMA… or something even more ruthless.

Imagine the Unprepared Realizing No One’s Coming to Help

You already know FEMA will work against you. But here’s what’s even more dangerous: most people still believing the feds will show up to help them when disaster hits. That thought is their only safety net. And that same belief, the illusion that someone will come to save them, is what makes them wait patiently for a while when SHTF. Which buys you time.

But what happens if they know from the start that no one’s coming? Sure, in an optimistic scenario, they’d roll up their sleeves and start preparing. But let’s be honest… How likely is that? Realistically, they’ll just hope the disaster never comes. And when it does? Total chaos. Absolute panic.

And when panic takes over the unprepared masses, you and your family are suddenly in danger. Because desperate people do desperate things, and they’ll be looking for someone who does have food, water, and protection. That someone is you.

How Can You Stay Safe While They ALL Panic?

Here are some must-consider precautions – especially if firearms are restricted and panic-fueled mobs start showing up at your door:

  • Trip wire alarms
  • Infrared Motion Sensors
  • Alarmed Door Stopper
  • Video Cameras or Fake Cameras with LED Floodlight as a Deterrent
  • Door and Window Alarms

All of these tools could end up being life-saving solutions. If you want to integrate them into your homestead, you can get them as part of this complete Anti-Looter Kit – a package that also includes detailed usage instructions, which could prove absolutely critical when every second counts.

To take your home defense even further – to truly fortify your property against looters, raiders, or worse – you should also consider adding:

  • Motion-activated backyard lights
  • Razor wire deterrents
  • Spike traps
  • Animal traps

The home security solutions presented are practical, tested, and ready-to-deploy. There’s a guide that also includes information on a crucial topic regarding security: how to store ammo long term, and even how to work with black powder if things get really bad.

Final Thoughts

If FEMA goes down, it’s very likely that things won’t get easier. They’ll get darker, more chaotic, and far more dangerous. You might think you know who you’re dealing with now, but what comes next could be unpredictable, even worse. As the saying goes, better the Devil you know.

That’s why you have only one real choice: never let your guard down. In fact, you need to raise it even higher. Don’t sit back waiting for help. It’s not coming. No cavalry. No rescue. Just you, your home, and the people you love. Act now. Prepare now. Protect your family.

From my understanding, this is not about FEMA being useful or not. The article clearly states that FEMA is not on our side, which is true.

The point is that, in an SHTF scenario, if FEMA gets dismantled (as it should be), things become more unpredictable than they are now. Therefore, we just shouldn’t let our guard down.

Or at least that’s how I understand it.

Howdy from high in the desert swamp,

I agree with your last line. No one knows the future.
Very true. I read the articles and everyone’s opinion on here. It may not be useful, but it is their opinion and those usually come from experience. FEMA has been granted a lot of power. Their being in the equation no matter who is in charge is a factor. Right now they are useless and have been along the gulf coast for decades. Law says you have to have windstorm insurance. Good luck with that.
Point being in this article is you shouldn’t count on government for a thing. If they do help, great. But don’t plan or make your plans on it.
On another line of thought, we do know the future. There will be pockets of good but blankets of pain and evil. It’s in the Bible. It’s in reality today. If you think we are better off than our grandparents, you may want to think that one through. I don’t just wonder what people will do in a depression. I wonder what I will do. I can talk and write all I want but, I don’t know what I will do for certain except trust in God. That too is easier said than done and that, is human nature. Plan for the worst, pray for the best.

Ephesians 6:10-18 is a good place to start today.

Remember the Alamo-the government killed everyone
Remember North Carolina-the government is still no help
Remember to have your soul prepared

Donald (I’m a criminal) trump denied help to those areas. It’s not that FEMA failed, funds were denied.

in 2005 when hurricane Katrina came ashore, New Orleans was flooded. Waveland Miss was in the eye. Waveland, Bay S tLouis, Gulfport and Biloxi were wiped of of the face of the map by a 25 ft storm surge that reached 15 miles inland past I-10.
our state did not wait on FEMA. we put it back together ourselves within 2 yrs better than ever as opposed to Louisianna that waited for FEMA to step in and help. and they are stil waiting.
you can only help yourselves in a disaster. to wait on the Gov. is to die cold and alone.

I’m a Brit living longterm in Europe and every citizen here has been told to start prepping and to realise wtshtf nobody will be coming to help. This is the official stance from the European commission and each government. We were told to prep for 72 hours and see what that looks like and then start extending it and make prepping part of our budgets and lifestyles. We’ve been given the same advice as we got during covid. ..if you have a garden start growing as much as you can. We are closer to the possibility of war here but the leaders are saying life is now precarious and we have to plan for a precarious life.

If FEMA is as bad as you claim it is, my suggestion is that you join FEMA and help change it from within. If you can verify from within after at least a year of continuous employment there that it is honestly that bad, let us know. My friend (known her for 25+ years) who works for FEMA (nearly a year now) says the FEMA fear-mongering is hogwash. All she honestly wants to do is help people – and she’s good at what she does.
If spurious Q-anon claims about FEMA are what it takes for you to get motivated to prep, so be it. Prep away. However, I’d rather you prep because it is simply the right thing to do.
Continue to be as self-sufficient as you possibly can. Learn all the skills or be the best neighbors to those who have them. Try to be the healthiest version that you are capable of being – it is often the difference between a rescuer and someone who needs to be rescued. Try to be financially responsible – being in debt all the time means you are a helpee, not a helper. Stock up on stuff. Be as spiritually and socially and morally responsible as you can. Don’t attract unwanted attention. Look like a mouse, or a sheep. Make involved preps but don’t be obvious about it.

PLEASE stop spreading the absolutely false lie that FEMA can take your supplies or your property. Under the 5th amendment, even in emergency conditions, they cannot take your supplies. PLEASE do your research or you will spread misinformation that will get people so up in arms because some are conspiracy theorists or are mentally ill or schizophrenic and they will listen to and fall for anything and everything. FEMA is an emergency assistance provider ONLY. They don’t stop trucks, they don’t take supplies, they can’t take property even if abandoned, etc. PLEASE do research. And for anyone worth their weight in wanting to be TRULY informed.. if this site cannot provide truth, do your own research and don’t believe everything you see on the internet. I find this site informative in terms of prepping, but the fear mongering conspiracy theories have got to stop. People do NOT need to be made afraid of freakin FEMA.
